25 September 2016
This week has been a little bit more special than others over at UKFast because it’s our 17-year anniversary.
And I have a confession to make. I promised to publish Lawrence’s blog for him today but, in fact, I’ve taken over it and he has no idea!
Having been on an unbelievable journey throughout the 17 years of UKFast, I thought it was only right that the UKFast team take over Lawrence’s blog today to surprise both Lawrence and Gail and share a few messages, memories and thanks.
Personally, I have had the most wonderful five years and there isn’t a day when I don’t look forward to heading into work and that’s thanks to the amazing team and culture that the Joneses have created.
Thank you for the past 17 years, Lawrence and Gail, we can’t wait to see what the next 17 hold.
I hope you enjoy hearing from everyone. I promise to hand the blog controls back over to Lawrence next week!
“Working for Lawrence & Gail has been an amazing journey so far. They have given us so many opportunities that are personal to myself and Dara. Getting married, buying our first house, having our little boy Dillon and travelling the world along the way. UKFast is a family-owned business that my family always feel part of it. Thanks for the amazing memories so far, I’m sure there is lots more to come. To infinity and beyond.” Stevo
“Having been at UKFast for 7 years now, it’s incredible to think of the journey we’ve been on since I started out at City Tower. What an adventure with moving to new offices, the great parties and festivals, the cinema screenings, the focus on personal wellbeing and development; the list is endless. How fortunate are we that we work for the best company in Britain? Thanks for everything you do for us all Lawrence and Gail – here’s to the next 17 years.” Joe
“This company has given me more exciting opportunities and experiences than I could imagine! I have been trusted in all the roles I have had here and each one has helped me grow not only professionally, but personally too. Although the champagne and jaeger bombs have blurred a lot of them, the memories I have created here are unforgettable and I will be forever thankful to Lawrence and Gail for allowing me to experience them! UKFast is more than just a company or a workplace, it’s a family and I love being a part of it!” Nat
“Whether cartwheeling through the air on skis in Verbier, climbing Mount Snowdon with a head torch in the pitch black at 4am, or hanging out the car window whilst hurtling around the race track at Donington Park, UKFast has been myriad incredible experiences and moments of sheer fun for the last decade of my life – humongous thanks and hugs to Gail and Loz for having me along for the ride!” Tristan
“I feel so lucky to be part of such an amazing family at UKFast. I’ve grown both personally and professionally over the past three years and made the most wonderful memories, and friends, that I’ll treasure forever. Thank you for providing me with such incredible opportunities, I really can’t wait to see what’s to come over the next few years!” Lowri
“Since moving to Manchester, and within a couple of weeks of securing a job at UKFast, I can without doubt say that it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I can’t thank Lawrence and Gail enough for the opportunities that they have given me, the holidays I’ve had and for helping me make some of the best friends I will ever have! UKFast is genuinely the best place to work and I wouldn’t be anywhere else!
Thank you for all the memories and look forward to making many many more.” Josie
“There’s far too much that’s happened in my 14 years to cram into an email – friendships that will never be forgotten, opportunities that would never have happened and parties that you wouldn’t believe. 2016 alone has been so full of amazing memories, it’s ridiculous: last weekend’s UKFest is an obvious highlight, but nothing can top flying to Verbier with Lawrence in his private jet. What a weekend that was!!!” George
“I’ve been part of the UKFast family for just 6 of those 17 years but I’ve learned more in that short time than in the 26 before I joined. UKFast has taught me to push boundaries, it’s stretched me way beyond my limits and I’m a much stronger person for it. I’ve made lifelong friends and lifelong memories and been involved in some truly extraordinary things. What does the next 17 years hold? Who knows? My advice? Hold on tight because it’s going to be one hell of a ride!!” Liz D
“They say that ‘time flies when you’re having fun’, here we are, after 15 years, still loving it. I’ve got so many great memories and have had so many amazing experiences since I started at UKFast. Snowdon camping in a tent with beer, great food and the best sunrise I have ever seen, Farinet opening party was absolute carnage, so much fun, too much drink. I’ve made some great lifelong friends and can’t imagine ever working anywhere else. Love it!” Rich
