“Be yourself, everyone else is already taken” Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde was an eccentric, one of a kind and understood the need to be an individual. In a world now where millions of people exist, how do you stand out from the crowd ?
The simple answer is “Be Yourself.”
A friend of mine Ashley Paske once explained when he auditioned for Neighbours the Australian TV soap, that they employed him for his personality and who he was. They didn’t want him to “act” and be someone different. The reason being, it’s impossible to put on an act every day for the rest of your life, it just too tiring. It a lot easier just being yourself rater than trying to moderate your personality or conversation to suite what you assume other people want. You might keep this up for a short time, but ultimately you will be found out.
Be confident in who you are at this present moment. If people don’t accept you for who you are, they are not worth hanging out or doing business with.
