One of the great things about Manchester, in my opinion, is its business community. Whilst I’m admittedly a bit biased with this one, I really believe that it’s one of the UK’s most collaborative business environments, and one with a healthy dose of competition. The Creative Cup and the Great Manchester Run Business Challenge are just two examples of the thriving environment here and the role that sport and competition have to play within it.
Another case in point is the Greater Manchester Workplace Games. Last weekend, they held a dodgeball tournament and, yes, as you can imagine, we were there in force to have a go at tackling this completely new challenge. The UKFast teams dodged valiantly but the day’s winners were web development company Silverchip. Congratulations guys! It’s so great to see Manchester businesses throwing themselves into new challenges and enjoying themselves in the process. Is this one of the reasons why the city is doing so well?
