At UKFast, we love any excuse to have some fun, bake some cakes and get a little competition going. When we can raise money for charity in the process, it becomes an irresistible proposition, just like the culinary creations our bakers have made for today. Why? Because today is Key103’s Cash for Kids Big Bake Day.
Cash for Kids raises money to support children in communities across the UK who have found themselves, through no fault of their own, in difficult circumstances. It can be so easy to get caught up in the trappings of our own successes and achievements that we often forget the real purpose of life is to make a positive difference to others. Once you get started, however, it becomes something enjoyable and it reminds us that we make the biggest impact when we pull together.
If you’re taking part in the Big Bake Day, I’d love to see your creations – and disasters. I’ve got to admit, the kitchen is not an environment I excel in, although I’ve got the coffee machine down to a t (or should that be coffee? Sorry!) I’m hoping to see lots of cash raised at UKFast Campus and all over Manchester, in fact – we’re one of the best cities for community spirit so let’s rise to the occasion!
