Have you ever been to a job interview where the person asking questions has made you feel stressed out or intimidated? I’ve seen people carry out interviews like this before, although thankfully not at UKFast, and personally I don’t think it’s a good way of getting to know someone at all.

If you want to find out what someone is capable of, creating a hostile environment is not the best way of going about it. Whilst I understand that some employers want to know what people are like under pressure, surely there are better ways of testing this ability after you’ve given them a chance to shine. I think it’s all about creating an environment where they can relax a little, and often – when you give someone a chance – they work hard to prove you right.
