Last week, Richard Branson blogged about note-taking and how useful it can be having a pen and a pad of paper at hand. Personally, I couldn’t agree more. You never know when inspiration is going to hit and, whilst technology is a great enabler, there’s nothing better than a big scribble pad to get your ideas down.
Notes are incredibly useful as you can come back to them and what might have been just a seed of an idea when you wrote it down, might suddenly take hold and grow into something more. However, if you don’t write it down, you run the risk of forgetting it and letting it slip away forever!
All the great phrases or lightbulb moments you hear or have can be pulled together and turned – as Richard puts it – into “actionable and measurable goals.” I’d be interested to know how many people still take notes these days. Is it something you do often or very rarely?
