It may be early November but it is time to launch Mission Christmas!

Tonight we host local radio station Key 103’s Christmas charity campaign, Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas.

A staggering one in three children in Manchester are in such poverty that they won’t receive a Christmas gift this year. Mission Christmas aims to make sure that all of these children experience the magic of Christmas too.

Imagine not being able to give your children gifts from Santa on Christmas morning. It is unthinkable. Christmas, no matter how you celebrate it, is a magical time of year. It’s a time to be together, to celebrate the year gone by and to be thankful for all that we have.

Last year, UKFast sponsored this campaign. We were a drop off point for people to deliver their donated gifts; our team spent days at the warehouse, sorting and bagging the toys ready for collection; and we did all that we could to promote the charity to get as many people involved as possible.

I am incredibly proud to say that UKFast is sponsoring the campaign again this year to make Christmas a special time of year for as many people as possible in Manchester; especially as this is my first Cash for Kids campaign as a trustee of the charity.

We’re aiming to help raise £2 million. It’s a big ask, but I am confident that we can do it. All it takes is for each of us to buy one extra gift and donate it to children who wouldn’t otherwise get one. It’s a small gesture that can make a massive difference.

Take a look at the video below to see how the campaign works, and hop over to the website to see how you can get involved.

Whilst it may be a little early for Christmas, it’s not too early to get involved in this campaign! Come and drop your toys at UKFast Campus. Or, if you’re not Manchester based, see what your local Bauer radio station is doing for their Mission Christmas campaign, they run across the country.

Mission accepted?
