This week is the final week in Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas campaign. With one in three children in Greater Manchester in such poverty that they won’t receive a Christmas gift this year, it is of course a campaign that we’re behind 100%.mission

Whilst it is unthinkable to be a parent who is unable provide the magic of Christmas for their children, it is up to us to help. These families are in real need, maybe just for the short term, maybe for longer, and they’re right on our doorsteps.

All it takes is an extra gift when you’re buying your Christmas shopping this year. Drop it off at UKFast Campus, or one of the thousands of drop-off points across the region and put a smile on a child’s face this year. It’s as simple as that!

Manchester is an incredibly special city. Seeing how everyone came together last year, sorting hundreds of toys, donating thousands of pounds and giving up their time to help parents to make Christmas a special time of year for their children was astonishing. Of course, we want to be part of it and are incredibly proud to be involved.

The business community in Manchester is incredibly passionate. Manchester is almost like a family and Christmas is a time for family to come together.

These one in three children are the next generation and we need to look after them. Who knows what they will grow up to become, and ultimately, they will be the ones to look after us.

As we come towards the end of the campaign on Monday, I invite you over to UKFast Campus. Come by, visit the grotto and drop off your toys. The more the better!
