How great would the world be if there was always someone to put their arm around your shoulder and show you the way?
But that’s not real life, right? Whilst in most circumstance, we have to find our own way, I am on a mission to be that arm for budding entrepreneurs – especially those in Manchester.
I believe that the North West has an extraordinary amount of entrepreneurial talent, of potential business leaders looking to find their next big break.
That’s why I’ve committed a £6,000 scholarship to the MBA programme at MMU. I know that there are people out there who just need a bit of a push, some encouragement to go for it.
Whilst I was never strong academically, I would have jumped at the chance to have a little help along the way to achieving an MBA.
But it is not just about the money. I have committed to this to give the scholarship recipient a head start in the Manchester business community. Alongside academic success, businesspeople need real-world experience, they need connections and they need a network around them.
We’re starting this support with tickets to the Digital Entrepreneur Awards in November. Here the recipient will come face to face with the UK’s most innovative, fastest-growing digital teams and companies. It’s an extraordinary networking opportunity. Alongside this, there is a pass to business and networking events here at UKFast Campus too.
Education has always been at the heart of UKFast. It makes absolute sense to invest in the thriving economic landscape of Manchester and support business thinking among young entrepreneurs. This scholarship is a fantastic opportunity to help business-minded people develop and to celebrate entrepreneurialism.
The deadline for the MBA has been extended. Now is your chance to take the leap, take a chance.
Apply here. I look forward to meeting you in October.
