Choosing your business partner has to be the most important decision you will ever make as an entrepreneur, and whilst today isn’t a blog about how to find the right one, because in my case, I can’t take the credit for this decision. Blinded by sheer beauty from the moment I set eyes on Gail, I have to be honest, it wasn’t the first thing on my mind.
I have many failings but luckily with Gail at my side to guide me she continues to help me navigate through the tough decisions.
Michelle Obama once described a partnership / marriage as something that makes both people stronger as a result of them coming together. I can certainly say this is true for me.
We met at a time when I was at a crossroads and at 31 I felt I didn’t have time to continue making mistakes. I’d sold my first business to Granada but it was only small and never scaleable.
That was 1999 and we have been inseparable ever since. Whilst our business ventures continue to grow in complexity and size at an incredible pace, life somehow just gets simpler.
So with Gail doing the school run I thought it a good opportunity to write a cheeky blog and say Happy Birthday and thank you to Mrs. Jones.
