How to make your goals a realityIn 30 years of doing business, it is safe to say that I have learned a few lessons along the way.

Of course, it’s inevitable that I have also made a few mistakes and had a few mishaps on that journey too. These become significantly less painful when you use them to learn from. To make sure you never repeat the same mistake.

One of the greatest lessons that I learned was to look to others for help and inspiration. It is easy as a young man to think that you have all of the answers yourself. In fact, the opposite is true. Whilst no-one may know your business as well as you do, many entrepreneurs will have been in similar shoes and made similar decisions – seeking their support is the single most effective way to avoid many of the inevitable pitfalls.

That’s why I sought out the likes of Sir Richard Branson, Chet Holmes and Earl Nightingale. These are legends of business and mindset who share what they’ve learned to help others succeed on their own journeys.

For many years now I have written blog posts, shared videos and more recently started podcasting to share some of the lessons that I have learned not only first-hand but also from others during three decades in the business arena.

I always say that it is good practice to review your progress, so today is as good an opportunity as any to look back over some previous posts and podcasts, and share them with you in the hope that they may offer you some help with your business or career ventures. Each lesson learned along the way becomes a key to your success.

I’d love to hear how you get on.

Goal setting

The single most important part of any ambition is setting the goal and writing it down. Why? Listen to my goal setting podcast to find out more.

The secret formula

I’m often asked if there’s a secret to success. For me it’s simple. You have to find yourself a formula that works. In this podcast I share how I found my formula and why it works!

Time is precious

Whilst many entrepreneurs advise you to work every hour that you can to make your business a success, there is an absolute necessity to take some time out. We all burn out at some point. Take a look at my blog post about switching off to find out more.

Dream big

Children have an extraordinary gift for dreaming big yet, as adults, we lose that quality. Why? The biggest motivator and driver of your success is how big you can dream it – you are the only person holding yourself back. Read the story of one of my big dreams and what happened when I took action!

The greatest advice

A short time again I wrote a series of blog posts sharing the ‘greatest advice I could ever give you’. I stand by the advice that I shared in these posts, they are some of the most valuable lessons I have picked up along the way.

Read over the posts (you can find the first, second and third posts on my website) and let me know what you think. By no means is it an exhaustive list of tips but I hope you find some value in there.
